Stately armoire with raised panel doors and attractive patina. Solid walnut front and doors. Solid oak feet, sides, and cornice. Feet and cornice were redone. Original lock and key. Hand-forged hinges. Armoire disassembles into two coffers, two doors, cornice and two front legs for easy shipping. Louis XIV (1638-1715), known as the Sun King and for whom Versailles was built, has been the longest reigning monarch to date. Width at cornice is 71", width inside is 58 1/2". Depth at cornice is 26", depth inside is 17".
